Joining
How you joined depended on whether you wished to join as a senior (i.e. experienced fencer) or join to take a beginners course.
Applying for a beginners course
You need to apply in advance of the next beginners course. These start at the beginning of a term and you cannot join mid-way through a term.
Things you need to do:
1. Check out the term times, it is there that the start date for the next beginners course will be displayed. You can see what times we meet and what weapon the novice course will be taught in.
2. Print off and fill out the application form. This details the costs for the different types of membership. In your case you need to tick the course application box. When complete, send it (along with the necessary payment) to the address specified on the form.
3. Turn up on the first day of the course, ensuring you bring the items of clothing specified on the course application form, and enjoy.
Joining as a senior
You could join whenever you like. They had a fixed cost for a termly or yearly membership. This cost will be pro rata'd if you decide to join mid-way through a term.
Things you need to do:
1. Check out the term times. Via this screen you can see if the club is currently running and decide which day or days you would like to visit.
2. Print off and fill out the application form. This details the costs for the different types of membership. In your case you need to tick one of the senior options (either a term or a year). If you are a student or you are under 18, tick the appropriate box. When complete, send it (along with the necessary payment) to the address specified on the form.
3. Turn up with your kit and challenge a few people.
